Jamaica

Brian and I went to Jamaica right before Thanksgiving. It was VERY hard for me to be away from Michael, but we had a great time! Sitting on the beach and reading all day was very relaxing, not to mention the great scenery :)
This is the view we had while eating dinner at the edge of the ocean on our resort.
Here is the view of one of the pools at the resort we stayed at.
Here is a shot off of our balcony.

Happy Halloween!

This year Michael was a dragon for Halloween. He didn't seem to mind the costume, but he didn't always like the hood part.

I took him to work to show off the cute squirt, but he didn't care for the people that were dressed up as scary skeletons and such.
He wasn't sure what to do with the candy at first....but everyone helped him figure that out really quick! He is now a candy lover :)
Then he went to visit his Grandparents for a little tricker treating and he seemed to be pretty happy with this part of the Holiday! Here he is with Grandpa Nielsen.

Here he is with Grandma Nielsen and a candy bar that he isn't quite sure what to do with...yet!

Here he is with Grandma Poulson, he isn't quite sure why there are so many flashes going off in his direction!
Here he is with Brian's grandma, Great Grandma Nelson to Michael. Just getting a little love...not quite sure what to do with that either!

Fall Fun

It is fall and Michael just recently learned to walk around without having his hands straight out in front of him (our little Frankenstein). Now he can use them for carrying things or discovering things! Along with walking came toddler-hood, he will let you know if you have made the wrong choice when he wants something. For the most part though Michael is a very happy sweet little boy that we love to have around!

Michael trying on his Grandpa Poulson's boots....they are a little too big!

Michael seems to be taken with stuffed animals and soft things such as this blanket. It is fun to watch him hug his animals and carry around blankets.

Birthday Fun!

Michael is 1 on Wednesday, and Sunday was his first party. He loves this new toy from his Grandma and Grandpa Poulson. Not only does Michael love it, but Tootles also enjoys chasing the balls.

Dishwasher Fun!

Michael is always trying to pull things out of the dishwasher when it is open! This time it was empty so he just decided to climb on in.

Michael has always wanted to walk. He hasn't wasted anytime figuring it out now that he has a walker (courtesy of the Harman Family)!

MIcheal's 1st Cake Experience!

As it turns out, Michael loves chocolate cake, who would have guessed!

It is good to know he will look fine with a beard when he gets older :)

Standing!

Michael's new skill of the week is standing. Grandma Susie (Brian's Mom) went to get him from his nap Tuesday and found him standing and smiling at her! He is very proud of his new found talent and uses it anywhere he can find something to grab and use to stand up with. I hope he doesn't learn to walk as fast as he has learned to stand!!!

Micheal LOVES the cat!

Michael LOVES our cat. When we come home and walk in the door, it never fails, Michael will instantly start looking for Tootles (our cat). The cat has the ability to turn a tired, hungry, sobbing Michael into a happy giggling little boy. It is AMAZING! I wish I could do that, but it seems right now if he sees me he cries until I pick him up.

I wish this picture were really a video so you could hear Michael giggling as the cat swats at his toy. It seems the more excited Michael gets the more he swings the toy around in a very wild fashion. The cat has been smacked in the face a few times, but it still seems to entertain both Tootles and Michael (not to mention Mom & Dad).

New Bloggers

So my sister along with all the rest of my lovely friends and family have been asking for a blog of my family. Which of course I have not had until now. So here is my first attempt at blogging.

I hope you all know me well enough not to expect anything too grand, or anything to be updated frequently. I do promise to try hard however, and I hope this will suffice.

Since I am new to this I would love any advice or comments on my blogging technique so I can one day be a semi-good blogger like all of you!
